Banner and Gem decisions
Anime Expeditions Summoning and Pity Guide
Summon to solve a roster problem, not because a banner is bright or a unit is rare. Check the current pool, displayed rates, pity counter, currency, timer, and carry-over wording; decide what counts as success; then stop as soon as the account can complete its next objective.
| Banner | Best goal | Check first | Stop when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beginner Banner | Build the first functional roster | Ticket eligibility, pool, guarantees, limits | Story team covers damage plus one useful support or control job |
| Standard Banner | Broader long-term roster | Current pool, displayed pity, rotation, carry-over wording | Target role is filled or the remaining budget cannot reach a visible guarantee |
| Mini Banner | Target a featured unit | Featured unit, rate, timer, currency, separate pity | Target is obtained, budget is reached, or the banner cannot solve the roster gap |
| Limited / Event Banner | Time-limited units such as the reported Villain roster | End time, pool, exclusivity, currency, pity, future availability | Permanent progression would be delayed or the target is no longer realistically reachable |
Anime Expeditions summoning FAQ
Which banner should a beginner use first?
Use free or restricted Beginner rewards first when the current client offers them. Move to another banner only after the first roster can clear early Story or you can name the exact missing role the new banner may fill.
What is the Anime Expeditions pity number?
Do not use one site-wide number. Public guides currently conflict, and Beginner, Standard, Mini, and limited banners may use different counters. Read the visible counter and guarantee text on the exact banner you are opening.
Does pity carry over between banners?
Only treat pity as transferable when the current banner explicitly says so. Do not assume Standard, Mini, and limited banners share a counter or preserve progress after rotation.
Should I use single pulls or ten pulls?
Use the option that matches the live guarantee and your stop rule. A ten-pull is not automatically more efficient unless the current interface grants a stated benefit; single pulls can preserve currency when you are close to the target.
When should I stop summoning?
Stop when the roster can clear the next objective, when the banner no longer fixes a missing role, or when the remaining currency cannot reach a visible guarantee without sacrificing permanent upgrades.
Should I chase a Secret unit?
Treat Secrets as long-term goals after a stable Story and mode team exists. Do not spend from an unverified rate or pity claim, and do not let rarity replace damage, control, support, economy, and map-fit decisions.
Summoning: the short answer
Open the banner, identify its pool and guarantee, name the role the roster lacks, and set a maximum spend before the first pull. A successful session can end with a usable opener, controller, support, economy unit, or focused carry; it does not require the rarest thumbnail.
Read six fields before every summon
Treat the current interface as the authority. Record the banner name, eligible unit pool, displayed probabilities, current pity, currency cost, and end or rotation time. Also look for guarantee exclusions and whether progress carries into another banner.
- Pool: can the desired unit actually appear?
- Rate: is it individual, rarity-wide, or featured?
- Pity: what result is guaranteed and when?
- Currency: Gems, tickets, or an event-specific resource?
- Timer: can the planned budget be completed before rotation?
- Carry-over: is persistence explicitly stated?
Choose a banner by account goal
Beginner rewards are for establishing a first team. Standard access is useful when several permanent roster outcomes help. A Mini or featured banner narrows the target but can increase the cost of missing. A limited banner adds time pressure and should be judged against the permanent progress its currency could fund.
How to understand pity without copying the wrong number
Pity is only useful when the banner, guaranteed rarity or unit, counter reset, and carry-over rule are all known. Public sources currently publish conflicting totals, so this guide does not convert them into a promise. Screenshot the live counter before a long session and check it again after the guaranteed result.
Set a summoning stop rule
Choose three outcomes before pulling: ideal target, acceptable role improvement, and maximum loss. Stop when any usable result makes the next team functional, when the budget limit is reached, or when the remaining currency cannot complete the visible guarantee.
- Ideal: the named target or featured role.
- Acceptable: any unit that fixes wave damage, boss damage, support, control, or economy.
- Maximum loss: a fixed Gem or ticket budget that leaves permanent progression intact.
- Hard stop: no more pulls after the team already clears the planned objective.
Evaluate duplicates before feeding or selling
A duplicate can have ascension, potential, collection, or conversion value, but exact duplicate rules need the current unit interface. Lock the first useful copy, compare the duplicate menu, and avoid converting a limited unit until the client shows what is gained and what is permanently lost.
A beginner summon sequence
Redeem currently valid rewards, complete visible Beginner objectives, use restricted Beginner Tickets when appropriate, and test the resulting roster in Story. Only spend ordinary Gems after the test identifies a missing job. Level one dependable carry before opening another banner solely to chase rarity.
Limited-banner decision
A limited unit is worth considering when it solves content the account repeats and the visible banner rules make the target realistically reachable. Skip or stop when the account lacks a stable core, the timer is too short for the budget, the pool does not fix a real weakness, or evolution and equipment costs are still unknown.
Common summoning mistakes
Do not assume every banner shares pity, treat ten pulls as automatically discounted, empty Gems after a lucky early result, chase a Secret before building a team, or reroll an account because a provisional tier list moved. The correction is always the same: read the live banner and return to the next playable objective.
What remains unverified
Exact pull prices, rarity rates, named-unit rates, pity totals, Secret unlock conditions, guarantees, ticket rules, and carry-over behavior are intentionally omitted until the same values can be captured from the current build. A fixed number from an older test or another banner should not control a real spending decision.
